We have compiled a
list of 7 somewhat less expensive hotels in mid-town Manhattan that have
lower rates. These are not dumps but most tend to be rather Spartan. If
you're on a strict budget, one night or two can't be all that bad
and the fun you can have in New York should make
it all worth while. Click on a hotel's link to view details about the hotel and the offered
amenities, the rates it is charging for any date you specify and, if you
like it, book your room on-line.» BROOKLYN ECONOMY HOTELS «We have also compiled a list of 4 economy hotels in Brooklyn, each just a fifteen to thirty minute subway ride to Times Square. Again, these are not dumps. We have also included directions for getting to Times Square by subway. Click on a hotel's link to view details about the hotel and the offered amenities, the rates it is charging for any date you specify and, if you like it, book your room on-line. | The unofficial hub of New York City - and, perhaps, the whole world - Times Square is the junction of Broadway and Seventh Avenue. Times Square attracts some 30+ million foreign and domestic visitors annually. In the immediate area of Times Square are nearly 4 dozen Broadway and 'off-Broadway' theatres with combined, annual, ticket sales over 1/2 Billion (USD) annually. Also, in the immediate area, are about 20% of all the hotel rooms (28 hotels) in Manhattan listing room rates ranging from about $65 to over $300 (USD) per night. | Touring the Big Apple? Your first stop should be the Times Square Visitors Center in the landmark Embassy Movie Theatre on Broadway (between 46th and 47th Streets). The Visitors Center offers city-wide visitor information between the hours of 8a and 8p, 7 days a week. Operated by the Times Square Business Improvement District, tourist advisors, fluent in many languages, are here to assist you and help make your visit to the Big Apple more enjoyable. We hope you enjoy your visits as much as we have ours! |
